21-Year-Old Machetes Father To Death For Not Defending Him

A 78-year-old man, Chief Eyo Nsa, has been stabbed to death by his son, Samuel Eyo Nsa at Eseko village, Creek Town in Odukpani Local Government Area of the state.

The 21-year-old had no other reason than his allegation that his late father refused to defend him after he was caught stealing a neighbors goat.

On Children’s Day, Samuel stole a goat from his neighbor, Otobong Matthew, with which he prepared pepper soup to entertain his friends.

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton removed the reptile from the man's home in Huber Heights on Sunday after getting a tip about mistreatment.

Local officials said the alligator was not being kept in proper conditions and was not being fed the correct food.

American Tourist  Gang-Raped In Northern India

An American tourist has been gang-raped by a group of men in a hill resort in northern India, the latest in a series of such attacks that have thrown the spotlight on women's safety in the country.

The woman was picked up by three men in a truck late on Monday while hitchhiking to her guesthouse in the town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh state, according to police.

The woman told officers her attackers took her to an isolated area and raped her. She was sent to a local hospital for preliminary tests, said a local police inspector, who declined to be identified.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

First lady Michelle Obama experienced a rare face-to-face encounter with a protester late Tuesday – approaching the activist and threatening to leave a fundraiser if the person did not stop interrupting her speech.

Obama was addressing a Democratic Party fundraiser in a private Kalorama home in Northwest Washington when Ellen Sturtz, 56, a lesbian activist interrupted her remarks to demand that President Obama sign an anti-discrimination executive order.

Obama showed her displeasure – pausing to confront Sturtz eye to eye, according to witnesses.
