MILEY CYRUS QUITS MUSIC

After her disastrous performance at MTV’s VMA awards, Miley Cyrus had decided to quit music and go to nursing school.

Miley Cyrus shocked America at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.  She was stripping to her underwear, grinding on a foam finger and twerking with giant teddy bears, Cyrus left jaws on the floor.  People in the audience and at home – were disgusted.

Just to make things more fun, Sunday was also Miley’s dad’s 52nd birthday.
Media reaction to Cyrus’ bump-and-grind veered between disgust and sadness.   Miley, and her handlers, have been so affected by the backlash, that Miley reportedly announced that she is retiring from music and wants to do something “more positive” with her life.  So, she is going to enter NYU’s Nursing Program in two weeks.  ”She wants to be able to really help people.  She thinks she’ll make a great nurse,” said a source close to Cyrus.

On MSNBC, “Morning Joe” co-anchor Mika Brzezinski started a petition to ban Miley from music for the rest of her life, but Miley beat her (and her haters) to it.  Miley has hung up her foam finger.  She’s done with music.

“Real Time” host Bill Maher took to Twitter to comment: “Haven’t been in a strip club in awhile, but good to see nothing has changed.”
Maher reportedly disagreed with Miley’s decision to leave music.  ”I like the way she sings in a G-string. It’ll be a shame to loose such a talent.”
On Sunday night, The Parents Television Council issued a statement from director of public policy Dan Isett that said: “MTV has once again succeeded in marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars and condom commercials — while falsely rating this program as appropriate for kids as young as 14. This is unacceptable.”
Miley agreed.  She told the PTC that she would try to make amends to “children and parents” for the “rest of my life.”
